On the Right Bank of the Vistula…

Composition Competition 2025

A unique artistic event in Czechowice-Dziedzice, aimed at young composers from Poland and abroad.

About the Competition

In 2025, Czechowice-Dziedzice becomes the venue for an exceptional artistic event: the composition competition "On the Right Bank of the Vistula...", aimed at young composers from Poland and abroad.

The competition's goal is not only to promote contemporary accordion music, but primarily to create a space where the new generation of creators can present their explorations, visions, and individual musical language.

It is not by chance that Czechowice-Dziedzice hosts this initiative. This is where Andrzej Krzanowski lived and created – an outstanding composer and accordionist, a charismatic figure who deeply inscribed himself in the history of Polish contemporary music. The competition takes place on the 35th anniversary of his premature death.

The results will be announced on October 28, 2025, during the final concert in Czechowice-Dziedzice – an evening that will become a celebration of new music and a symbolic culmination of the competition's first edition.
